Welcome to Bush & Beach Canvas Sealer
We are a family owned and operated business based on Brisbane’s Northside.
Our Canvas Sealer is a proven water-proofing compound specially prepared to withstand all weather conditions. The Canvas Sealer contains a special fungicide which helps to prevent mildew and rot as well as adding life and colour to your canvas!
Our Canvas Sealing product is suitable for use on: tents, tarps, blinds, awnings, canvas car hoods, canopies, pop-up campers, horse rugs, motorbike riding gear and much much more!
We also have a Mould Killer which is a pre-treatment to remove mildew and kill mould spores. It is NOT a cleaning or re-proofing agent. This product will not remove the mould stains from your canvas. We have a Tinted Canvas Sealer that available to apply after the canvas has been treated.
Our Caravan, Camper & Motorhome wash will effectively remove road grime, dried bugs and dirt from all surfaces including: plastic, rubber, chrome, aluminium, fibreglass and paintwork. Best of all it is fully biodegradable and environmentally friendly!

Canvas Rejuvenation
We have had this piece of canvas for over 30 years! It was originally on a truck and as you can see it definitely needs a new lease of life.
So we decided to make it our little project to show you how effective the rejuvenation process can be!
PART 2 - RESEALING
Now that the canvas had dried thoroughly it is time to reseal!
Our Canvas Sealer is a proven water-proofing compound that has been specially prepared to withstand all weather conditions. It contains a special fungicide which helps to prevent mildew and rot as well as adding life and colour to your canvas.
A paintbrush is recommended for application to ensure that the pores of the canvas are fully penetrated and this will provide you with the best results.
We recommend applying two coats to the canvas to ensure that no part of the canvas has been missed and to provide you with an even colour coverage.
HOW TO USE YOUR BUSH & BEACH CANVAS SEALER
Step 1 - Place tin in sunlight for half an hour before use to liquefy the sealer.
Step 2 - Ensure that the surface to be treated is thoroughly dry and free from dirt and grease.
Step 3 - Stir contents thoroughly before and during use.
Step 4 - Apply with a paintbrush for the best result.
Step 5 - Apply evenly and ensure that the compound has been rubbed into the fabric.
Step 6 - Wipe off excess with a sponge. This ensures proper application and minimises waste.
Step 7 - Clean paintbrush with turps.
Step 8 - Canvas needs to aerate for 24 to 48 hours to eliminate odour.
PART 1 - CLEANING
First step is cleaning the canvas with our Bush & Beach Canvas Cleaner. It is a concentrated canvas wash that effectively removes grime and dirt from canvas surfaces!
We used a pressure washer, however a hose fitted with an adjustable nozzle will work as well.
USING YOUR BUSH & BEACH CANVAS CLEANER
Step 1 - Mix approximately 100mL of Canvas Cleaner in a 9L bucket of water. For heavy grime and dirt, increase the concentration.
Step 2 - Wet the canvas using a strong jet of water to remove any loose dirt that may be present.
Step 3 - Use a scrubbing brush or a hard bristled broom to wash the canvas and remove the dirt.
Step 4 - Using either a pressure washer or hose fitted with an adjustable nozzle, use a strong jet of water to remove any heavy deposits followed by a broad soft spray to completely remove all remaining surface contamination.
Step 5 - Leave the canvas to dry thoroughly.
PART 3 - WATERPROOF TEST
The canvas has been drying for 24 hours… now for the final test. Let’s see how waterproof our canvas is!
